Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse dedicated to delivering gift-filled shoeboxes to children around the world affected by crises of all sorts. Through partnerships with local churches, shoebox recipients hear the Good News of Jesus Christ. Afterward, many attend a 12-week discipleship program. Shoebox gift items may include school supplies, personal care items, crafts, and toys. Liquids, war-related items, toothpaste, and food (including candy) are NOT allowed. A suggested donation of $9 covers the cost of shipment. Visit samaritanspurse.org to learn more about Operation Christmas Child and the other work of Samaritan's Purse.

Ore Creek's involvement in Operation Christmas Child includes individuals and families packing shoeboxes at home, collective packing at a Packing Party on Saturday, November 10 at 4:00 PM, and receiving shoeboxes from the community as an official Operation Christmas Child Drop-Off Center.
